Just finished watching Runaway Jury. Definatly worth seeing. At first it didn't seem like it, but it's actually a movie about cons, and the shadier side of the law.

It's basically about a woman suing a large gun company for the death of her husband. Hoffman is the lawyer representing her, and Hackman is the jury consultant working for defense.

John Cusack plays the part of Nick Easter, a jury member who is working with a woman named Marlee (Rachel Weisz) to influence the outcome of the jury.

Now, basically, the deal between these 3 parties is that if either the defense or the prosecution will pay up 10 million dollers, Easter, who is playing the inside man, will swing the verdict their way.

Very well done movie. The book actually goes along a different plotline, but the idea is the same. 1 person against a large corporation, tampering with the jury.

Now, Gene Hackman has the greatest line in this movie.
"Trials are too important to be decided by juries"

Kinda says something about where out judicial system has gone.
